Spike Albrecht Ends His Basketball Career At U-M

Michigan senior point guard Spike Albrecht announced on Friday morning that he is ending his basketball career.

Albrecht underwent hip surgery this past offseason and his recovery has been slower than expected.

Spike was a key cog in the Wolverines attack his first three seasons in Ann Arbor as a backup to Trey Burke and Derrick Walton, Jr.  His retirement is effective immediately.
