Do you live in one of the safest cities in Michigan? If you don't know, you soon will.

AreaVibes has put together a list of the 20 safest cities in the Great Lakes State. I have to admit, I am quite surprised that only one Genesee County city made the list. There are quite a few cities on the list in Oakland County. Lenawee County makes the cut, as does Emmett County.

The list was determined by looking at the most recent crime data from the FBI. It includes violent crimes such as assault, rape, and murder. Property crimes were also researched, including burglary and vehicle theft.

If you have been thinking about making a move, maybe one of the cities on this list could be your next place to call home. You might even find a city you had not considered before that checks all the boxes and could be a great fit for you and your family.
