The most recent Powerball drawing turned out to be a lucky one for an online lottery player in Michigan.

If you had a ticket for the Powerball drawing last night, Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, and matched all five white balls, you may have won $1 million. But wait, there is one more thing - do you live in Ortonville?

According to the Detroit Free Press, the winning Powerball ticket was purchased by an online player who is registered in Ortonville. That does not necessarily mean the person still lives in Ortonville, but it is a strong clue as to who the lucky winner might be.

There were several big winners across the country last night, but this is the only million-dollar winner in Michigan. In total, 91 Powerball tickets nationwide won at least $1 million.

Unfortunately, I was not one of them.

As of now, no one has been publicly identified as the winner of this particular prize. My guess is the winner will likely choose the one-time lump sum payment option.

One thing is certain - you cannot win Powerball, Mega Millions, or any Michigan Lottery game if you don’t play. You can play every week, and not win either.

Playing the lottery comes with plenty of ups and downs - if only the wins were more frequent. Am I right?

Here’s to you and me, hopefully hitting it big soon. Trust me - when I win, there will be signs, and I will not be anonymous.

What about you?
