Now that it's spooky season in Lansing, there are all kinds of fun activities to take part in. Especially for the little ones.

If you're looking for something cool to do with your kids, Boo at the Zoo is happening at Potter Park Zoo the rest of this month.

What Is Boo at the Zoo?

Saturdays and Sundays in October from noon until 5 pm, Potter Park Zoo is hosting its annual Boo at the Zoo. And this year is filled to the brim with all kinds of activities.

  • Black light room
  • Carnival basketball
  • Carnival football
  • Frog launch
  • Hayride
  • Inflatable slide
  • Inflatable duel axe throwing
  • Maze
  • Treat stations

As a mom, I'm definitely looking for fun and affordable spooky events to take my little one too. Bonus if it's an event that involves activities that are more than trick-or-treating for candy. Don't get me wrong... candy at Halloween is a scared right of passage. But, how much candy does a kid really need?

Guaranteed, they'll have way more fun dressing up in costume and enjoying the activities than they will trick-or-treating for candy. Plus, there will be cider and donuts for purchase, which is the perfect treat for any fall activity.

Boo at the Zoo isn't just for the little kids, it's for the big kids too. The zoo will be open, the animals will be out, there will be performers, and Dress-A-Skeleton displays to check out while you're there.

When Is Boo at the Zoo and How Much Does It Cost?

Tickets are free for kids under three. Otherwise, they range in price from $5 to $15, depending on whether or not you're a resident. Just mark your calendar for October 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, or 25.
