Recall Alert: Salad Kits Sold in Michigan Being Recalled
Just when you thought it was safe to start eating healthy, the recalls start rolling in. There is a brand new recall hitting Michigan stores involving pre-made salad kits, and boy... bad time to get on that diet.
Background of the Recall
Taylor Farms just recently pulled their Honey Balsamic Salad Kits off the shelves after discovering a mix-up at the factory.

The wrong dressing had been slipped into the kit instead of the intended balsamic vinaigrette. The dressing used was the Asian Sesame Ginger. This could be dangerous to those who have a soy or sesame allergy and can cause severe reactions when exposed to the vinaigrette.
Which Products Are Affected
The recall was announced on August 26, 2025, and affects 6- and 8.3-ounce kits that were sold in multiple states, including Michigan. Many major retailers sold the kits, including Walmart and Kroger. The kits carry a "TFRS" code with a best-by date of September 4, 2025.
What Consumers Should Do
At this time, there have been no illnesses linked back to this mix-up, but it is advised that anyone who has purchased the salad kits either toss them right away or return them for a refund at your place of purchase.
If you experience any allergic reactions, you should seek medical attention immediately.
Unlike many of the recalls we have been seeing, this one isn’t a contamination issue but rather a labeling issue. The kits contained the incorrect dressing packets, which were supplied by Latitude 36 Foods.
If you have one of these salad kits in your fridge and may have someone in your house with one of these allergies, you shouldn’t take any risks. You should throw it away and/or exchange it.
