Abandoned Mini-Golf, Three Miles from the Ghost Town of Fayette
This place is just one of the many, many, MANY Michigan mini-golf and roadside attractions that have gone by the wayside.
This kind of place intrigues me, because countless travelers pass by locations like this every day, not knowing there used to be something of interest there.
I couldn’t find any postcards or legitimate photos I could show you about this particular place. It’s located in the UPs Garden Peninsula, about three miles northeast of the 'touristy' ghost town of Fayette. So, for the sake of this article, we’ll refer to this place as the Garden Mini-Golf, located at approximately 14509 14th Road, Delta County.
It sat out in the countryside, away from any houses, other businesses, etc.
Basically, it was all alone along the road, which was kind of odd. From an old satellite photo, it looks like it was a pretty good little mini-golf; you can see that photo by going HERE.
It was operating in the 1990s with a little shop where you could rent your clubs and golf balls, and purchase snacks. The golf greens are all gone and covered with grass, but the store still stands; whether it’s empty, or a residence, or neither is questionable.
