Gatorade Recall Issued: See If Your Bottle Is Affected
There’s a nationwide recall involving several bottles of Gatorade. Here’s what you need to know about the problem and the lot numbers to check so you can make sure you don’t have any affected bottles at home.
Gatorade: Designed for Sports

Gatorade got its start in 1965, when it was developed and tested for the Florida Gators. Since then, it has become a major part of American sports culture. Football was the first sport to really embrace the drink, but Gatorade has since become popular across sports in the U.S. and around the world.

Gatorade is designed to help your body rehydrate quickly while replacing the electrolytes and energy you lose during intense or prolonged exercise. Because Gatorade is widely consumed, its ingredients, including food colorings, are subject to strict regulations. Recently, the FDA announced a recall involving several bottles of Gatorade.
