A signed high schooler to Michigan State's football team for next season was injured in a jetski accident in the Bahamas on Monday.

Lashawn Paulino-Bell was on vacation with his family in the Bahamas when he was injured in a crash. He was taken to a hospital in the Bahamas before being transferred to a hospital stateside in his home state of Florida.

Paulino-Bell is a defensive end prospect who is figuring to compete for playing time this season among a young Spartan crop of players in that position group. Paulino-Bell signed with the Spartans on National Signing Day (Feb. 1).

Paulino-Bell is listed as a consensus top 100 player out of the state of Florida by most major recruiting sites and a top 50 player at the defensive end position nationwide.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by his aunt on behalf of his parents.

Mark Dantonio offered his support to his future player on twitter.
